The Del Mar Carmel Valley Sharks have been serving the communities of Del Mar and Carmel Valley for over 20 years. Our goal is the pursuit of excellence in all levels of soccer through our Recreational and Competitive programs. Each year our Recreation program serves over 2000 children from ages 5 to 18. We offer a Fall season with volunteer coaches, and two "mini" seasons led by our professional coach, Tommy Maurer. The Competitive program holds tryouts for team placement, plays year round with professional coaches, and is headed by Guy Newman, Director of Coaching. This season we expect 45 teams competing at the AA, AAA, and Premier level. The Sharks also offer soccer camps throughout the year.
